“Santa on a Fire Truck” is coming to Santa Fe Presbyterian Church on December 8th!

On Saturday, December 8th at 1:30 pm, “Santa on a Fire Truck” will arrive at our church bringing cheer to good little boys and girls.   The Edmond Fire Department takes Santa around in a fire truck to visit local neighborhoods. Mrs. Claus will be joining her husband the jolly old elf and will look familiar to the members.

This annual event, hosted by the Edmond Kiwanis Club, is to collect unwrapped toys for foster children nine years of age and younger.  The club is partnering with Angels Foster Network OKC to collect the toys for foster children and this organization will distribute the toys to the children.  In addition to toys, donations of gift cards for teenagers from clothing stores, diapers (especially 2 months and 4 months up to 5 months) and clothes for premature babies to 3 months old, as well as 2T to 5T, also will be accepted.

In addition to meeting Mr. and Mrs. Claus, there will be holiday refreshments and arts and crafts for children while they are waiting to see Santa.  Santa and Mrs. Claus also will be making three other stops this day at 9:30 am at the Rose Lake addition (west of May and 178th Street (Edmond Road)), at 10:30 am at Acts 2 United Methodist Church (Covell and Pennsylvania), and at Towne Square (Danforth east of Bryant, use the second entrance going east).

Make sure to mark your calendars for Saturday, December 8th for this family fun event that will get you into the Christmas spirit.
